At least four times this past week, I’ve had a conversation that has started—or ended—in the same way: “Can you believe it’s already August??”
It’s true, we’ve approached that time of year that is undeniably, smack-dab in the middle of summer. But suddenly the last half of the year (and all of the craziness that accompanies it) is starting to make its presence known. When does school start? Thanksgiving with my family or yours? December vacation dates? Start making those plans, August seems to say, because the end of the year will be here before you know it.
It’s enough to make your head spin. So before we move to full-on panic over the rest of the year (and before Halloween decorations start popping up where you least expect them), let’s make some positive changes before any new excuses can sprout. It’s the ideal time to tighten up the way you work so you can move into the latter half of the year with confidence, optimism, and a better way of getting your job done. Here are a few great ways to start:.
So let’s get to it. There’s still plenty of time to enjoy summer, but let’s tee ourselves up for an awesome fall, winter, and beyond while we’re at it.
