BrainStorm Receives "Best Company to Work For!"

    Posted by: Kall on 1/4/2012

We ended the year with a bang! On December 15, 2011, BrainStorm was named as one of Utah Business Magazine's "Best Companies to Work For." Being honored for an exceptional work environment, and for being totally committed to employee success, BrainStorm is where it's at. Read the article below and make sure to checkout more about BrainStorm in the December 2011 edition of the magazine!

Live the culture. While seemingly simple, it’s a concept that separates BrainStorm, Inc., from just another place to work. It’s not just any company that can offer its employees both vibrant culture and a rewarding workload. But BrainStorm manages both challenges ably. For this software-training innovator, company culture includes everything from work ethic to mid-day walk-offs, integrity to impromptu rounds of dodge ball.

BrainStorm does enterprise-level work with a small-business feel. That small-business (read personal) feel allows the company to appreciate the little things in life: National Flip Flop Day, for example, doesn’t shuffle by uncelebrated. The group believes in cultivating lesser-known talents by means of soda-chugging contests, foosball tournaments, spelling bees, and of course crab-walking races. And those are just the spontaneous events—monthly social events include snowmobiling, flag football, broomball, and mountain scootering. Somewhere in between all the hard work and battles for Halo-master bragging rights, BrainStorm also finds time each month to give back to local and national organizations by way of service projects, donations, events, and more.

A fun, energetic culture keeps the BrainStorm team fresh for jobs like saving the world from mediocre software use. These folks consider it a tragedy that on average, end users employ only 13 percent of the features in their splendid software systems. What a waste of potential productivity!

Rather than sit idly by, BrainStorm enlists in the battle. For 16 years running (fast), BrainStorm has used innovative techniques and top-notch trainers to help everyone from consumers to Fortune 10 companies who want to get the most out of their software investments. Along the way, BrainStorm has won the hearts of companies like 3M, Chiquita, Toyota, Goldman Sachs, The Home Depot, Harley Davidson, and Domino’s Pizza (yum!). The company’s training products include simple Quick Start Cards, high-tech software-training add-ins, in-person training, and even software-deployment guidance. BrainStorm has a “training” flavor to suit virtually any taste, because they know the customer deserves the best.

The rapid growth of this company evidences not only great products but also great producers. While BrainStorm (which is currently hiring, by the way) wins recruits from the likes of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, American Express, and Bain & Company, these new hires always seem to have one thing in common—they’re individuals with heart. These team players can attest to the vibrancy of BrainStorm’s culture, which offers a great balance of challenge, fun, and fulfillment. They’re thoroughly unsurprised (but beyond excited) that BrainStorm was named one of Utah Business’s Best Companies to Work For in 2012.
