Check Out BrainStorm’s Interactive Tutorial in the GroupWise 7 SP1 Client

AMERICAN FORK, UTAH. — Now that you’ve finally upgraded to GroupWise 7 after the SP1 release, you may be wondering how to customize your Home View or add a tab to your Nav bar. That’s why in the latest release of the GroupWise 7 client, Novell included a link to BrainStorm’s GroupWise 7 Interactive Tutorial in the Help menu.

Phil Karren, the GroupWise product manager said, “To help users make the most of the GroupWise 7 enhancements, Novell has included content from BrainStorm, Inc. in the Help menu of the product's first support pack. Leveraging BrainStorm's expertise in this way has generated extremely positive feedback among our beta sites, and we anticipate that this 'training' link will be well-received by our customers and prospect base, as well.”

When you click this link, you’ll go to a Web page with links to BrainStorm’s continually updated GroupWise tips and tricks, BrainStorm’s GroupWise User Group, and the Interactive Home View tutorial, which will soon also be available in German, French, and Spanish.

The tutorial’s interface gives you three ways to see its content. When you click the Course tab, you’ll be able to choose from predefined playlists—GroupWise for Beginners and New GroupWise 7 Features—that will show only the topics you need to see for your skill level.

When you click the Index tab, you’ll be able to choose from a hierarchical organization of all the topics included in the tutorial. And, when you click the Search tab, you’ll be able to enter terms to search for answers to your GroupWise questions.

The interactive tutorial contained within the GroupWise client does not include all the things you need to know about GroupWise, however. BrainStorm also offers a complete version of this tutorial, called the GroupWise 7 End-User Computer-Based Training, with over 150 GroupWise instruction topics. The complete version, which is also Web- and Flash-based, can be installed on an organization’s network or used by a single GroupWise user accessing content through the CD-ROM.
