Microsoft Word 2007 Tutorial Managing Bookmarks Tutorial in Microsoft Word 2007 A free instructional guide from Brainstorm Inc. When navigating through lengthy documents, bookmarks can serve an easy time saver. Bookmarks allow a person to quickly find specific areas within a document. To learn how to insert, open and remove bookmarks in your Word 2007 document, follow the directions below. Adding a Bookmark in Microsoft Word 2007:1. Highlight a word or section of your document that you wish to bookmark. 2. Select the Insert tab to access the Insert Ribbon. 3. From the Links group, select Bookmark. 4. In the Bookmark window, name your bookmark. Note: Your bookmark name must begin with a letter and cannot contain spaces. If these criteria are not followed, you will not be allowed to add a bookmark. 5. Click Add. To open your bookmark, refer to the “Opening a Bookmark” section. Opening a Bookmark in Microsoft Word 2007:1. Select the Insert tab to open the Insert Ribbon. 2. From the Links group, select Bookmark. 3. Select the bookmark you wish to see. 4. Click Go To. Your book mark will be highlighted within the document. 5. Click Close when you are finished. To remove a bookmark, refer to the “Removing a Bookmark” section. Removing a Bookmark in Microsoft Word 2007:1. Select the Insert tab to open the Insert Ribbon. 2. From the Links group, select Bookmark 3. Select your bookmark that you wish to delete. 4. Click Delete. Your bookmark will clear from the window. 5. Click Close to close the window. |
