Have you seen the little gray bars next to the items on your calendar, but you’re not sure what they are? Here’s a tip that gives you the key.

The gray bars next to the appointments in your day or week calendar view represent the way your time is scheduled. The way your appointment is scheduled here also reflects how your time shows up in a busy search. Here’s the key to what those little bars mean. 

Light gray: busy
Diagonal gray striped: tentative
White: free
Dark gray: out-of-office
