At BrainStorm, giving back is part of our DNA.
We believe meaningful change begins with small, consistent acts of kindness—volunteering time, sharing expertise, and supporting causes that strengthen our communities.
This holiday season, our colleagues have each chosen a charity close to their hearts—organizations that reflect the compassion and community values we cherish. We invite you to join us in sharing that same generosity.
Together, let’s scale the joy!

The Stop ALD Foundation is a rare-disease nonprofit dedicated to advancing awareness, research, and support for individuals and families affected by adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).
ALD is a severe, inherited disorder that damages the protective myelin sheath of nerve cells—the very cells that allow our brains to think and our muscles to move.

Chosen by Adrian Thomas
“My little brother passed away from ALD at 18.
I support Stop ALD to help other families find answers and hope.”

Founded by military families in 2006, Hope for the Warriors is a national nonprofit supports service members, veterans, and their families by delivering programs that reinforce mental and physical health, career readiness, peer mentorship, and community reintegration.

Chosen by Andrea Nottingham
"As a proud USAF veteran, I am deeply passionate about supporting fellow veterans and their families. My own experiences in the military have shown me how important it is to have a strong support network."

The Ocean Cleanup is a forward-looking nonprofit that develops advanced technologies to intercept and remove plastic from rivers and oceans, with the ambitious goal of eliminating 90% of floating plastic pollution by 2040.

Chosen by Arianne Fox
"I’ve always been a beach girl—the ocean has felt like home to me for as long as I can remember. But over the years, I’ve noticed more and more garbage washing up on every shore I visit. What used to be seashells and driftwood is now plastic bottles, food wrappers, and fragments of things that don’t belong in the sand. It’s heartbreaking to see the beauty of the ocean being buried under pollution."

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia—by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Chosen by Garrett Smith
"I care deeply about supporting the Alzheimer’s Association because I’ve seen how devastating it is when someone loses their sense of self. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect memory—it takes away identity, independence, and connection. I believe every person deserves dignity and support, and this cause helps provide hope and resources for families facing this tragedy."

The Rare Kidney Disease Foundation is a patient-focused nonprofit dedicated to halting the impacts of ADTKD (Autosomal Dominant Tubulointerstitial Kidney Disease) and other rare kidney disorders by supporting researchers, promoting awareness, and advocating for treatments. These conditions affect tens of thousands in the U.S. and often span generations within families.

Chosen by Graden Nelson
"The Rare Kidney Disease Foundation (RKDF) is deeply personal to me. My family has lived with ADTKD-MUC1, a rare genetic kidney disease that took my grandfather’s life at 43 and has affected my dad and several of his siblings. Thanks to a kidney transplant, my dad has been blessed with 35 more years of life—a gift that gives our family hope. Some of my siblings and many of my cousins are also at risk, which makes supporting RKDF’s mission to advance research, awareness, and treatment especially meaningful."

Hospitality Homes provides free or low-cost temporary housing to families who must travel for specialized medical care in the Boston area. They match out-of-town patients and caregivers with volunteer host homes and donated apartments so families can stay together during treatment.

Chosen by Jaclyn Sayler
"This cause is deeply personal to me as my 6-year-old daughter has undergone four open-heart surgeries, two of which were at Boston Children’s Hospital—far from our home in Utah. Boston Children’s cares for patients and families from around the world, many of whom face the same challenge of finding a safe, affordable place to stay during treatment. Hospitality Homes eased that burden for us by providing a welcoming place close to our daughter’s bedside."

Best Friends Animal Society works toward a vision of “No More Homeless Pets®” in America by operating the country’s largest sanctuary for animals, running adoption, and community programs in partnership with shelters and rescue groups nationwide.

Chosen by Joe Finlayson
"Animals are not able to advocate for themselves and they need our help. This cause is important to me for that reason."

Kiva is a global nonprofit designed to expand financial inclusion by connecting lenders to entrepreneurs and small businesses via microloans, enabling people who lack access to traditional banking to build livelihoods and create change in their communities.

Chosen by Tyler Rogers
"Many people of the world live in poverty partly because they do not have access to capital that can help their enterprises grow. Microlending is a powerful way to help people bring themselves and their communities more out of poverty."

VerdeCares Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the residents of the Lower Verde Valley through compassionate, non-medical support. They offer reliable and confidential assistance designed to help community members preserve their independence, comfort, and quality of life. With a focus on trust and care, they stand as a dependable resource for those who need a helping hand.

Chosen by Mike Queen
