In early 2024, Masco engaged with Microsoft to begin licensing Copilot for Microsoft 365 in order to empower their workforce with industry-leading generative AI tools. They began their launch with a small pilot group, but needed a way to effectively onboard and train users. Specific challenges included:
Masco engaged with BrainStorm, a long-time Microsoft partner, to implement a comprehensive learning program for their Microsoft 365 tools, including Copilot for Microsoft 365. To support their initial purchase of 300 Copilot licenses, Masco also purchased licenses to BrainStorm’s Microsoft 365 Core Pack and Copilot for Microsoft 365 Pack.

Among the users that participated in the pilot, there were thousands of interactions with BrainStorm content. The average engaged end user started watching 18 videos and completed 17 during the period we measured. Beyond consumption of learning content, Masco also collected valuable insights into how their licensed users were integrating Copilot into their work.
“Some of Copilot's features we were initially most interested in exploring were the meeting, document, and email summary features. Our pilot group experienced enough benefits through use of these tools that we are now considering how to effectively scale them more broadly.”
