BrainStorm is proud to announce that it’s been selected as one of OUTSIDE’s Best Places to Work 2018Each year, OUTSIDE recognizes companies that provide great workplaces for employees and encourage a balance between work and enjoying life in the great outdoors. This year marks the sixth time that BrainStorm has made the list.

“Companies from across the country entered a rigorous two-part survey process to make the winning list,” said Abigail Wise, online managing editor of OUTSIDE. “Employees took part in a survey to measure personal experience, while The Best Companies Group evaluated each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics.”

“We’re thrilled to be included among such an amazing group of companies,” said Eric Farr, BrainStorm Principal. “BrainStorm has always believed in giving our employees fulfilling experiences inside and outside the office, and to be recognized by OUTSIDE is a huge honor.”

In addition to promoting healthy work-life balance, BrainStorm provides a number of programs and initiatives to encourage employees to get outside. Employees are encouraged to participate in intramural sports teams, sponsored monthly activities, and regular service projects. Employees can even apply for a grant to go on a bucket list adventure, with previous winners filming documentaries in Ireland, fly-fishing in Patagonia, and training as a chocolatier in France.

BrainStorm employees have built an incredible culture of service, positivity, and adventure—all we’ve had to do is provide an environment that supports them,” said Farr. “Our employees are dedicated to living life in bold. Why would we stand in their way?”

Better known around the office as “The Queen of No,” Jourdan can actually be sort of pleasant once you get to know her. When she isn’t distracting the Marketing team with music video ideas, Jourdan is probably stalking the Barefoot Contessa, pretending (poorly) to enjoy exercise, or Netflix binging with her husband and goofball of a dog.
